Today in music, [lastfm]The Bee Gees[/lastfm] topped the singles chart with their song “Night Fever”. The disco theme was first featured on the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack.

Originally, the film was meant to be named simply Night Fever after the song, but Bee Gee’s singer Robin Gibb suggested to the film’s producer to add Saturday to the title.

A rare music video was made for the song in 1978, however it wasn’t shown to the public until 2004.

The video shows the brothers singing the song in a dark studio with images from the Las Vegas. Oddly enough, singer Barry Gibb is shown without his trademark beard.
