Local author Peter Jedick’s novel “Hippies” is set around the turbulent times of the Vietnam War, and the events of May 4th, 1970 on the campus of Kent State University. He knows of what he writes: Pete was on campus 42 years ago, when Ohio National Guard troops opened fire on an anti-war demonstration.
