It’s probably the saddest cat fight you can imagine. Two wives married to a deceased military man are both staking their claim to the flag presented to widows in times like this.

Bigamist and Army Specialist Moises Gonzalez married and fathered children with each of the women. He also kept a mistress and has a son by her as well.

All three attended the funeral. The flag was given to Gonzalez’ first wife, causing the second wife to protest the decision. She claims his first marriage was over years ago and that wife #1 is only after benefits that come from being a military bride.

So, what’s to be done? Who should get the flag? Could both get a flag? And if both received a flag, would that be a green light from the government condoning the illegal actions of the soldier? Which by the way, leads to even more questions…
