Her recent divorce has inspired one of her biggest hits, and today the singer will sit down with Ellen to talk about her new movie Katy Perry: Part of Me. Ellen also asked her about some things that were left in, like the marriage to her now ex- Russel Brand.

The singer wearing all black and with no funky color in her hair, seems like her normal peppy self as she talks to Ellen about the early struggles in her career, and of course her recent pain from her very public split from Brand.

When Ellen asked Katy why she left her marriage, and break up in the movie Katy said she hoped that it would show people that celebrities “are not perfect” and have real lives. Sometimes with heartache, and pain.
