:(

It’s been 34 years since we’ve seen a Triple Crown winner. The last time was in 1978 when Affirmed won the honor. And a lot of us thought this would be the year. This would be the horse. I’ll Have Another just seemed to be our horse.

This is the horse that made us all cheer during the Kentucky Derby, who then went on to gracefully stretch through the Preakness Stakes. I’ll Have Another was the 4-5 favorite to win the Belmont. This is the kind of horse you put your money on. And if even you didn’t, you felt like a winner anyway.

But the signs of tendinitis are said to be appearing and the horse was pulled from the running and retired a day before the Belmont Stakes.

Kinda makes you want to have another…
