Family Circle just published their list of “10 Best Towns For Families”. You go to the article and are surprised when you see that your town is number one.

Bay Village was number one on this list. People are drawn to this suburb because of the white picket fences, tree-lined streets and a 5-mile wooded shoreline of Lake Erie. Not only are people drawn to this, but they are also drawn to the town’s school district that ranks among the top five percent in the state.

Art education is very important in Bay Village. BAYarts, which is the community cultural center, is supported by contributions from residents and volunteers. Local businesses also pitch in to help with the galleries and gardens.

How does Family Circle come up with list of 10 Best Towns For Families? Family Circle has a research firm provide real estate, demographic, and other data. Then the magazine creates a family friendly criteria which includes affordable homes, quality of schools, access to health care, green space, low crime rate and financial stability. Some towns that made the list were: Vail, Arizona, Fort Mill, South Carolina and Oak Park, Illinois.
