Lacrosse player Mac Breedlove cut in line when boarding a recent Southwest flight. This didn’t please his coach – or his team mates. So to make it right, Mac’s coach had him apologize.

Mac initially thought he could get away with a flippant sentiment. He didn’t get off that easy. A full statement was prepared for him.

Assisted by flight attendants, Mac stood in front of the offended parties and said he was sorry:

“My fellow travelers, today I address you with great remorse. During the boarding process, I took advantage of this airline’s kindness. This is not the way my coaches, teammates, or parents expect me to behave, and for all of this, I apologize.

I hope you will all find it in your hearts to forgive me, for I am just a young man that thinks I’m smarter than I am. Enjoy your flight and remember to fly Southwest, because they let my coach do this to me.”

It’s all caught on video:
