I went to my first “Tall Ships Festival” shortly after I moved to Cleveland in 2012 and I immediately recognized the HMS Bounty from the films “Pirates of the Caribbean 2″ starring Johnny Depp and “Mutiny On The Bounty” starring Marlon Brando.

This morning as I was watching the coverage of Hurricane Sandy I heard that the HMS Bounty was taking on water in the waters off of North Carolina! Wow! The ship had been attempting to go around the storm and it’s crew had to abandon ship.
