Get discounted admission at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium until Thanksgiving. It’s a way of showing customer appreciation for the support the aquarium has received since opening in January.
Adult admission will be $17.95, and children age 2-12 will be charged $11.95.
General Manager Tami Brown says more than 350,000 people have visited the aquarium in its first nine months of operation. The aquarium blends state-of-the-art marine technology with the historic Powerhouse, its home on the west bank of the flats.
Several special events have been held at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium, including a fourth of July “Red, White and Brew” event, a Halloween party for children (and one for adults only,) and shark weekend, during which attention was drawn to the 2,500 sharks that disappear from the world’s waters every half hour.
18 sharks can be seen through the aquarium’s sea (see?) tunnel, a see-though acrylic tunnel that provides dramatic views of the sand, nurse, tiger and black nose sharks.
